Manish Gupta
Founder, CEO & CTO

“Aut inveniam viam aut faciam” (“I shall either find a way or make one.”) is often attributed to Hannibal, but it is a fitting description of Jigyaasa’s founder. Manish’s vision and big dreams have inspired the company’s growth from both a technology as well as business perspective. Manish has years of experience in the software industry building high achieving teams, architecting application infrastructure and building highly available and scalable data centers.

While earning his MBA at the University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business, Manish was also the recipient of the Smithsonian’s Face of Innovation medal, for his first program named Charity. Manish’s real passion (after Jigyaasa of course!) is airplanes, of all sizes and shapes! He is in the process of getting his pilot’s license, and is poised to take off in more ways than one!

Pete began his career in the 7th grade! We are not kidding – his passion was ignited by a Sinclair ZX spectrum computer gifted to him by his dad. He quickly began developing programs, his favorite being a GMAT prep program that helped Manish get into B-school! A programmer extraordinaire, Pete quickly built a user friendly test prep program for IT Certifications at a computer based training center he founded while still in college. A bit hit with users, Pete architected and developed a powerful learning platform that quickly grew to support hundreds of test prep and learning products from K-12 to College Prep to IT Certifications. Pete’s extensive experience with classroom teaching shows in the many little touches in our platform that our customers rave about.

An artist in his spare (!) time, Pete’s favorite comic hero is Tintin. Pete takes IT Certification exams for fun, and has over 30 certifications to his credit!

Madhup Sharma
Director of Content Development

Unusual angles. Interesting faces. Bringing out that special glow. We are talking Madhup’s passion outside of Jigyaasa – photography. Madhup carries the same aspects over to the products he and his team create. not one to shirk hard work, legends of Madhup burning the midnight oil are well, legendary at Jigyaasa! He leads by example and his team of motivated content developers collaborate in perfect harmony with Pete to continuously give our customers what they want and what they need from a learning tool.

Employee #1, both literally and figuratively, Madhup is often complimented on the quality of content his team creates. Madhup’s answer is simple. “These products are like my kids. Nothing but the best for them will do.”

Betsy Rivers
Director of Customer Happiness

Betsy is the ultimate customer champion. No customer is too small or too big for her. She believes that customer service is not just about responding to customers… it’s about delighting them with the Jigyaasa experience every step of the way! Betsy never misses an opportunity to emphasize the importance of listening to our customer. She works closely with every member of the organization, from the leadership team, to product developers to our customer service associates, and everyone in between, to build a customer experience like none other. Betsy listens closely to our customers and motivates the team hard to ensure our products and services help customers achieve their career dreams. The happiness philosophy promoted from within is contagious and transfers (quite happily!) to our customers!

We think Betsy’s natural flair for landscape and interior design is pretty cool! It didn’t take long for Jigyaasa to make this ‘service’ a perk for employees! A fun fact about Betsy – her favorite childhood stories are the popular Betsy-Tacy books!

Hema Seshadri
VP of Product Development

Hema is probably our worst critic and our customer’s best friend! She works closely with our customer happiness team to really listen to our customers, talks to customers directly, and follows through with Pete and the development team to deliver the ultimate learning experience. Hema brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from various Fortune 100 companies to Jigyaasa, in areas such as conventional classroom teaching, online education, product support engineering, product evangelism, and building high performing teams. Her unquestioned integrity, passion, and ability to marry vision with execution, help set the standards of quality and customer focus high for every department in the organization. Hema lives and breathes the Jigyaasa philosophy.

Hema loves to hike and plans all of our company picnics and team outings. Were it not for Hema, some of our self-professed geeks would never see the great outdoors!
